Take my String Quliting workshop with me in Flint, Michigan on Tuesday, June 4. This full-day workshop (10-4:30)will have you slicing and dicing fabric strips (color controlled or wild and crazy) into "string sets." Those will be sewn in to tubes and then sliced apart to magically reveal finished blocks. Fun, addicting, and an easy way to make great looking "string" quilts FAST.

Students also get to check out my studio and see what's on the cutting table. Space is limited (only 12 students per class) so there is more one-on-one time with each student. You'll also get more elbow room than in most classrooms. A chairlift and elevator makes the trip up the stairs fun and entertaining. Scooter, is looking forward greeting you with tail wags and the occasional "kiss" but you may also ignore him. His allergens will not leave you alone however as this is a "dog-present" environment.

Pack a sack lunch or join in the pizza delivery.

I want to thank you for having me in your home for the workshop last Saturday. Both Lorraine and I had a great time, enjoying ourselves from start to finish; although we were a couple of tired puppies by the end of the day-but a “good” tired. I also learned that there is life past Thimbleberries. My strings were OK, but lacked that WOW factor. Time to brighten up my life! Again, thanks for having us in your home.

Thank you so much for offering the quilting workshop in your home yesterday. Everything was so lovely, from your classroom with it's beautiful view, to having Steve carry our things in and out as well as going to pick up lunch for some of us. Then there was the moment that a bottle of nice, cold water appeared as if by magic on the sewing table. What a great day!

And oh yes! There was the quilting class!...Thank you again for sharing your artistry, enthusiasm and encouragement with your neighbors! And many, many thanks to you, your family and staff for all the work you did to create a place where quilters of all levels can learn and grow and feel welcome.
