This is the first quilt that I made from your book and I am very happy with it. I had gotten the book several years back when you visited our guild in Birmingham. It was made at my daughter Jennifer's request when one of her best friends announced she was pregnant and due in August. I said I would do it if she helped. Lo and behold, she did. Jennifer had never helped me on a quilt project before this one. I had made an "I Spy" quilt for a granddaughter and had lots of fabric left over. Jennifer went through the fabrics and used the template in the book to do the rough cuts. Then she cut many of the finished squares and finally cut the red for the zig zags. I couldn't get her to do any of the sewing although she helped with the placement of the squares on my design wall. Maybe next time. I made one change to the pattern and cut my squares 4 inches instead of 3. Nicholas was born premature in April and has been in the hospital since birth. I was able to visit him and his mother last month and presented the quilt. The mother was thrilled. Nicholas should be going home in a few weeks. I am glad he will have a quilt at home to greet him.
This quilt was made with the "Zig Zag Zoom" pattern in Picture Play Quilts
