Crooked Christmas

Crooked Christmas
This “quilt-as-you-go” project by #092-851 was immediately questionable when the judges could detect no apparent flaws. Hope was restored when they examined the BACK of the quilt and discovered the seams were finished with fusible bias tape, which the entrant made herself. (There is a reason manufacturers do not make fusible bias tape.)

The unusual “finishing” technique, complete with exposed batting and frayed backing earned the “Most Bizarre Use of Bias Binding Award” for this Albuquerque, NM entrant.
