I attended one of your workshops in Sioux City, Iowa a few years ago. I brought my photo quilt along at that time. When our mother went into the nursing home, I brought home a lot of pictures to make quilts for her and my sister. Mine is still a work in progress! I enjoyed your workshop very much. You do a fine presentation, and your humor really adds to the fun. (Ami—Thank you!)

(Billie added this update in 2004.) I recently sent you the picture of the picture quilt that I made for my Mom when she went into a nursing home, and you put it on your website. Mom always worried that if she "moved" somebody would forget to move the quilt with her. She mentioned this to me nearly every time I went to visit. Mom passed away January 27. We displayed the little quilt with other pictures at the service. The quilt was rolled up and "moved" with Mom. She enjoyed it so much, and it gave her many moments of pleasant memories. I am so glad that I made that quilt for her. Thanks, Ami, for teaching this process to all of us.
