When my son grew up and out, I confiscated his old bedroom. My DH took out the closet clothes bar and put in shelves where I store my stash, sorted roughly by colors. On another wall I have shelves of books (nearing 1000). I also now have thread racks and another rack of stabilizers attached with hinges right above my embroidery machine.
