I've wanted to try making a photo quilt and the opportunity presented itself one day. My husband had an empty wall in his office, so I thought "okay now's the time"! I used 4 of his old cycling t-shirts for the corner squares, purchased a t-shirt for the center square, and used photos of him from cycling trips for the remaining squares. I framed the photo fabric squares with strips of color taken from the sashing strips. Each photo square is sewn onto a plain t-shirt block and has the "what" and "when" of each photo stitched on the framing strip. He is very happy with it and it looks great in his office.
