Here is my sewing room in all it's messy glory. About ten years ago, I did an inventory of my fabric and books for insurance purposes and it was worth over $2000. That was before I bought the Bernina. I was sewing with a lowly Singer. Now I shudder to think what it would all be worth. Probably it would be greater then the Gross National Product of some small third
world country. My friend and I joke about our final resting places. We want to be cremated and placed with quilts, but if I were turned to dust I would be in good company in my sewing room. Lots of surfaces around me have their "protective layer of dust".
