As with most quilts, #538-462’s Mariner’s Compass looks pretty good viewed from a distance. However, up close and personal is another story.

From the warped medallion to the puckered binding it is a real eyesore.” The judges couldn’t agree more. They awarded extra points for the “interesting” binding.
