The Onion Bowl
This is a great example of a nice-looking bowl made with really ugly fabric.

I see I photographed this one before I finished it! Look closely and you'll see the straight pins I used to hold the loops on the rim in place. I sewed the loops in place, sticking my fingers with the pins at every turn. Not fun.

I also wasn't too pleased with the "clunky" nature of the bowl. After this one wrapped with fabric cut crossgrain, I went to bias strips for a smoother finish. A tighter zigzag would have helped too.

No idea what I did with the onions.
