I made this quilt with my grandson's third grade class and thought you'd like to take a look at it. I took a picture of each child and one of the teacher. I then had each child draw a picture of their choice on a piece of paper. I put the child's photo with their name under it and his or her drawing together with either a piece of red or blue whimsical print. I took a panoramic picture of the school and put it with the teacher's photo.

They were all transferred onto your paper, then onto Kona cotton and assembled with the print and alternating colors.

I taught the kids to hand sew and they set these blocks in an attic windows setting and sashed it with black. You wouldn't believe the wonderful, small stitches they used! (Of course the first few that didn't get it got their torn out and they had to do it over. Do you think that influenced the others? LOL)
