Thank you so much for your guidance in Creating Scrapbook Quilts. I just completed such a quilt for my mother’s 80th birthday celebration in San Francisco last month. It was a pleasure making this for her from all of us. There are seven children and five grand kids in our family. The back of the quilt has messages and birthday wishes as well as images of my mom’s favorite rice, brand of soy sauce and Chinese sweet sausage. I also included images of her San Francisco neighborhood as well as the dinner banquet menu. Finding special embellishments for the front of the quilt made it fun for me the past six months. Many thanks again for writing such a terrific book. I look forward to designing one for my mother-in-law’s 75th birthday next May. My mother in law just celebrated her 75th birthday in California and was thrilled and overcome with joy to have received this memory quilt I made for her. Terrie Ward Surprise, AZ
